This past week has been, I'm sorry....HELL for us!!! My poor little girl got the dreaded rotavirus!! She started in with it last Monday, and today is barely 100% done with it. Luckily she only threw up twice. Once while she was napping, and the other on daddy...lol:) The rest of the week we've been dealing with the most horrendous diarrhea ever! I won't complain a single bit to change her regular poopy diapers after this:) She wouldn't eat or drink nothing. I finally go to the point where I said if she'll eat a milkshake for dinner I'll be happy. I knew that would work because she loves milkshakes. Boy was I wrong. She wouldn't touch it. I thought that was really odd. So then I started to get really nervous. I decided I better take a trip down to her pediatricians office to get her checked out. Just to make sure she was ok. Wouldn't you know it, the girl perked right up once the doctor came into the room:( So of course he wasn't too worried. She still wasn't good once we got home. So I had Dan come home from work and he and our neighbor gave her a blessing. We suffered through the night, and was back at it the next day. Except she was ten times worse. Completely lethargic!! To the point of freaking me out. She would space out numerous times and just stare at stuff. By this time we were all sick. Dan, my mom and myself had gotten it. We were all miserable, but nothing could have been more sad then to see my little girl sick. Not being able to understand what was going on. She'd hit her belly and try to pull her belly button off because her stomach was hurting so bad. At this point I had had enough!! I called her doctor and demanded that he call in an order of fluids for her. So Dan and I made a trip down to Brigham to the Hospital. The nurse tried twice to get an IV, and when she couldn't get it called for someone else. The next nurse happened to be a baby nurse so I was relieved thinking she could do it. Oh she couldn't either. My baby was so dehydrated that it took them 5 tries before they finally got an IV in her!! It was so so sad. I sad there and just cried! She did too except she was too dehydrated to express tears;( They needed to get blood for labs but wasn't going to attempt another needle. So they pricked her heel and milked blood. Her blood sugar was very low as well so they made me wake her up to eat a couple of suckers and drink some juice. We ended up staying their for 4 hours! Needless to say, it's been a very long week and I hope we don't have to experience this again for a very very long time!!

So thankful for the thoughts and prayers from friends and family to help get us through this:)
