One year older and wiser too;) It feels like my birthday came and went in the blink of an eye! This year it was very low key. I enjoyed just being home and relaxing. Dan is such a good man. He took Mayci to the store so that she could buy me balloons, her favorite. And of course they were Tinkerbell ones. I'm sure if they had Nemo she would have gotten them. She was so excited to give them to me. Dan's original plan was to come home from work while Mayci and I were taking a nap and hide Easter eggs for us...well me;) I'm such a kid at heart and absolutely love Easter egg hunts. I never got a chance to do that though because Mayci decided to be a stinker and not nap...UGH!! That's okay, Easter Sunday is right around the corner. Dan made me my birthday cake, he's so willing to do it every year. This year my request was a delicious pineapple cake, a family favorite. He made it perfectly!! He also got me a visa card so I could go pick out some tennis shoes that I'm in desperate need of. Sheena and Darren came over with the most adorable Cookie Monster cupcakes ever!! They were almost too cute to eat, well at least that's what I thought. Mayci had a different opinion. Dan and I were in the front room when we noticed how quiet it was. We yelled for Mayci and she came running from the kitchen. Once she got to us she said "what?" She had quietly snuck a cupcake and was eating it. We busted up laughing because she had massive amounts of blue frosting all over. Needless to say she was wearing a white shirt!! Thank goodness for oxi clean:) She should try and be more discrete when getting into things she's not suppose to. I'm so thankful for my wonderful friends and family who showed their love for me on my birthday.
